Every WordPress booking plugin wants a yearly licence, so I built my own appointment booking app instead, with a real database behind it. I used Sticklight, Elementor’s AI app builder, and gave myself a limit of 200 credits to see if this is realistic for client work.
Three prompts got me a booking flow, confirmation emails with calendar invites, a cancel link that puts the slot back, and a week calendar for the practice. This is for web designers who want to offer clients a booking app as an add-on and maintain it without touching code.
What I cover
- Plan the booking flow and write the prompt
- Set up Resend for the confirmation emails
- Create the project in Sticklight and run the prompts one step at a time, starting with the database and architecture plan
- Connect the project to GitHub
- Build the admin dashboard and check security and GDPR
- Test a booking, the email notifications and a cancellation
